037Hello people of infinity and beyond! Sorry for the wait. I somehow reset my password, didn’t know it, then had trouble resetting it again. In other words I lost my password for a few months….but I’m back now and inchin to write.

Topic of choice this week, grammar. Don’t go running off screaming with you hands tugging at your hair at the subject (well maybe during language arts class but that’s a whole different blog post). What I mean is how do you use it, grammar I mean. Do you lean toward the supposed ‘proper’ way of speaking or a less restricted path? We all know that person that corrects you when you use slightly improper grammar. Heck, maybe you are one.

For those of you who aren’t do you get annoyed when someone corrects you or do you just blow it off. Do you think of it as some sort of lesson and try to remember to say the term correctly the next time? Do you say things the way you do on purpose?

If you are someone who is doing the correcting why do you feel compelled to do so? When you are reading something, oh say a blog… (hint hint)do you find it harder to read when the writier is not using ‘proper’ grammar’?

The reason I ask is because well, I’m curious. I find myself correcting my little brother when he says something (considered) incorrect. Yet I get bugged as heck when people correct me because I find there is no need to do so. When I’m writing I tend to do so in a conversational kind of way (can anyone say hipocrate?) Am I the only one who has erm… I guess you’d call them ‘grammar swings’?

SO proper grammar yay or nay?

What do you think Mommamay? Have a preference? Any personal experiances?

Side Note: Thanks to everyone who has been patiant and waited for me to figure out the strange ways of internet passwords.

Until next time my wonderful bloders (blog readers. Maybe I should come up with a better nickname for that..)
