Would you rather text or talk? I know many people who love texting. They text each other when they’re in the same room(no joke). On the other hand I also know people who will talk on the phone for hours(again no joke. My record for staying on the phone is 3 hours and I didn’t say more than 2 words. They talked the WHOLE time, I just read a book and went “uh-huh I see” every once and a while). When I ask my friends why they like to talk so much they say because texting without a keyboard phone is to hard. When I ask why people like to text so much they reply “because it is to much trouble to actually have to talk to someone.”.
I personally like texting more because then I can have as much time as I want to reply. Though I text more than talk I’m still one of the slowest texters on the face of the earth, and I’m not exaggerating(ok maybe a little…). Due to my texting habits (in my defense my friends always text me not the other way around. I coud live without a phone. Them I’m not so sure about) my mom isn’t happy when she sees that it’s only been 5 days and I’m already half way through my texts for the month.
Mom, what do you think about the whole phone experience. Also would you rather text or talk?

I don’t have a cellphone, and I feel I’m not missing much
If I did, I would be texting. As you said, texting allows me to reply whenever I want. I don’t have to interrupt what I’m doing to pick up and start talking. It’s very convenient.
At home, when someone calls me, I just let the answering machine pick it up (an answering machine is like a voice box, but it’s in my home… and I’m saying that in case your generation hasn’t seen one of those before lol).
